“Our path in OA transcends weight loss and a return to emotional health.” —Seeking the Spiritual Path

I used what I call my “God Box” yesterday and the day before because I was desperate to rid myself of all the negativity, insecurity, and despair I was feeling—and even hatred. I was so alone . . . at least I felt so.

But once I put those feelings in writing and placed them in my God Box, I experienced a release and a sense of relief. I got a good night’s sleep, and even felt good the next day. I was also able to share with a friend about how I use my God Box—she is going through difficult times herself. She was receptive and said she would give it a try.

My God Box is number one on my gratitude list today. I experience so much positivity when I sincerely and wholeheartedly use it.

I also included God on my prayer list today: “I pray for me, myself, and I that we continue to communicate with our HP and have an open line of communication.” To me, this is the main road to positivity—communication is key! I need to initiate this communication and also be willing to hear the response. I must be aware of what God is trying to tell me.

I am grateful for this program that has brought me closer to my goals. It has shown me a way to get where I need to be. Thank you, God, for opening my eyes, ears, and heart to listen to you and be willing to do what I need to do to reach those goals. Amen.
