We’re Worth Taking Care Of

There are no words to adequately express how much better my life is because of my HP and the OA program! The best I can describe it is that, before program, the shades were always pulled down in my home and I didn’t go out except for work. My focus was food: what, how much, and when. But today, my life is full of adventures! I go out with friends, try new things, and go to museums. I am confident in who I am and no longer embarrassed to be seen without a wig on (for twenty years I never told people). I’m no longer afraid to try new experiences or stand up for myself. I’ve learned that I am enough and I’m worth taking care of. My 100-pound (45-kg) weight loss is nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to the life OA has shown me how to have!

Never give up! Stumble, learn, grow, and forgive yourself. We all make mistakes, we are all unique, and most of all, we are all worth taking care of spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

I wish for all of you the wonderful and magical life you want. — Kelly, Bristol, Connecticut USA
