Spiritual Action Plan

Today I’ll walk the spiritual path by using an action plan. I will:

Think of others. This relieves me of the “bondage of self” (Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th ed., p. 63).

  • Tell my Higher Power I’m grateful. Gratitude brings my mind into a peaceful place.
  • Know HP wants my happiness and well-being. I can “act as if” until I believe it.
  • Thank HP for creating me. I’m a flawed but unique person, and I’m worth it.
  • Seek peace. I can stop fighting everyone and everything with HP’s help.
  • Live one day at a time. Each day has its own challenges. HP knows all my needs.
  • Reach out to others in the OA Fellowship. Ask them how it works, and then take action.

Just as I clean house with people and resentments, I learn to make peace with what HP requires of me.

Using a spiritual action plan gives me serenity and makes me willing and teachable.
