Q: Since sponsors are one of the strengths of our program, why is there not a Sponsor Appreciation Day?

A: Sponsors give endlessly and deserve their own day of thanks.

I agree with you that sponsors are one of the strengths of this program. I can’t work the program without one, and I am very grateful for my sponsor.

The creation of a Sponsor Appreciation Day would be a decision made by the group conscience of OA as a whole. Any intergroup can submit a motion to the World Service Business Conference to let the delegates decide. The deadline for 2017 motions is December 10, 2016, and sample motion forms and instructions can be found at oa.org/ documents. Suggest the idea to your intergroup and see if it gets support.
