Recovery I’m Not Doing It By admin Posted on April 19, 2016 2 min read 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr At times I suffer fear: Will I be successful at weight loss? Perhaps I have a diet mentality. During these times, I must remember the following: “I” am not losing the weight. Higher Power and Overeaters Anonymous are helping me lose the weight. A healthy way of living is helping me lose the weight. Cleaning up my side of the street is helping me lose the weight. Trusting in a power greater than myself that I will not starve before the next meal is helping me lose the weight. Being loving to myself, my family, and others is helping me lose the weight. Getting to OA and AA meetings is helping me lose the weight. Having an open mind and remaining teachable, honest, and willing to try someone else’s way is helping me lose the weight. Calling another OA member when I suffer from “stinking thinking” is helping me lose the weight. Since I’m not losing the weight and I’m getting so much help from other sources, then I will not have to keep the weight off. Doing the next right thing will keep the weight off, one day at a time. We do not have to pressure ourselves to maintain success. It will just happen if we continue working a strong program.
