I truly believe that the Public Information Committee from my HOW-OA Northern California Intergroup has one primary purpose. This is how we’re carrying the message:

Last year, we went to a health and wellness fair in nearby Walnut Creek and to another health fair at a local hospital. Several of us distributed printed information, gave away wristbands, and answered questions. This year we are presenting a panel of speakers at a local senior center and allowing time for a question and answer session.

We are also brainstorming how to reach out to high school and college students to let them know there is a solution. Yes, I did have a spiritual awakening as the result of this program, releasing 60 pounds (27 kg) of weight sixteen years ago.
