Share It Staying With It By admin Posted on August 1, 2017 2 min read 1 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Thanks so much for the article “One Small Part”. Staying in the moment and paying attention to what’s in front of me has been something I have always struggled with. Years ago, I discovered that when I did not want to do something at work, I got hungry. I’d want to stop working to eat a little snack. It amazed me when I put it together: the hunger plus not wanting to do what was in front of me. Later, I got into escapism, such as playing computer games when I had something that I didn’t want to do. I have had to remove games from both my work and home computers. And recently, I have found myself escaping into social media. In “One Small Part,” Kim T. writes, “I simply do what is in front of me and let go of the rest. (This did take some prayer and practice.)” I, too, may have to remind myself to stay with it when I don’t want to be doing what’s in front of me. At the end of the day, “Miraculously,” my work gets finished too, “one step at a time.” — Carole
